Attempting different ways of “reacting” to and (re)constructing this absence—narrating stories without images—the film searches through, manipulates, and plays with materials from Italian archives, starting from the director’s own family history to reach and open up into a more collective dimension; unfolding through recorded conversations between me and my father, and then between other fathers and their daughters.
